PG Interns News And Updates
We asked Micah Richard what brought him to Interns, this is what he had to say:
God. In short, this discipleship program was literally the furthest thing from my mind a year ago. I was attending college in pure & applied sciences - the window of opportunity was wide open. However, I grew weary of school, and the world of science just didn't captivate me as it once did. After the first semester, I actually quit college and began hunting for a job. Having not one call back after two-and-half months, I rapidly grew discouraged. Around that time my grandmother came from the west coast to visit us in Quebec. Well, she came from this crazy church, ACA, and bragged about this internship they had there. Told me how God was transforming their lives, and turning them into servants. To be honest, I didn't really think Interns was in my near future; sure it sounded great, but not having a job posed a money issue. So time went by, and I had a choice to make - I could either apply for a different program in college, work for a year or try to do this internship. So I submitted to prayer, and went on a fast. Before I knew it, the submission date for my college application had past and at that time I just felt God's call to dedicate a full year to him. Thus I made the decision to do this internship, with no source of income and no bright future because at this point it had been a whole three months without work or any sign of anything being available. Though through a simple step of faith, God came crashing down with blessing upon blessing. As news spread throughout the church people stepped forward and paid for my plane ticket, finances for interns and in other areas. It was amazing, a month went by I had over $1000 before stepping onto the plane. May 4th, I arrived here and not 5 hours went by before God provided me with a full-time job until Interns started. I started work the next day; it was seriously mind blowing how everything fell into place after I made the decision to step out for Him. It just goes to show, that when we're walking in the plan of God you can't go wrong. Because His blessing is poured out onto everything you do.
